The flasher unit on a Renault Clio is located behind the dashboard, on the passenger side. To access it, you will need to remove the glove box.
Tools and Materials Needed
* Phillips head screwdriver
* Flat head screwdriver
* New flasher unit
Instructions
1. Open the glove box.
2. Locate the four Phillips head screws that hold the glove box in place. Remove the screws.
3. Gently pry the glove box loose from the dashboard. Be careful not to damage the wires that are attached to the glove box.
4. Locate the flasher unit. It is a small black box with a green connector.
5. Disconnect the green connector from the flasher unit.
6. Remove the two Phillips head screws that hold the flasher unit in place.
7. Remove the old flasher unit and install the new one.
8. Replace the two Phillips head screws.
9. Reconnect the green connector to the flasher unit.
10. Replace the glove box.
11. Secure the glove box with the four Phillips head screws.
Test the Flasher Unit
To test the flasher unit, turn on the ignition and turn on the hazard lights. The hazard lights should flash. If they do not flash, check the connections and make sure that the new flasher unit is properly installed.
