1. Locate the engine coolant reservoir.
2. Remove the engine coolant reservoir.
3. To access the crankshaft sensor connector, it is necessary to remove the rear lower timing belt cover. This cover is located on the right-hand side of the block when standing in front of the vehicle.
4. Disconnect the crankshaft sensor connector.
5. Remove the crankshaft sensor retaining bolt and lift out the crankshaft sensor.

Disconnect the electrical connector from the crankshaft sensor.
2. Remove the retaining bolt.
3. Remove the sensor from the block.
