1. Park your car in a safe location and allow the engine to cool down.
2. Locate the heater core hoses . The heater core hoses are located on the firewall behind the engine at the driver side wheel. They are usually two metal pipes, one that is hot and one that is cold.
3. Remove the heater core hoses. Use a wrench to loosen the hose clamps and then pull the hoses off of the heater core pipes.
4. Install a bypass hose. Cut a piece of heater hose that is long enough to connect the two heater core pipes. Connect the bypass hose to the pipes using hose clamps.
5. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes. Check for any leaks from the bypass hose. If there are no leaks, the heater core bypass is complete.
