1. Prepare Equipment:
- Ensure you have the necessary tools, such as a Phillips head screwdriver, a flat-head screwdriver, and a trim removal tool.
2. Disconnect Battery:
- For safety, disconnect the negative terminal of the battery to avoid any electrical mishaps while you work.
3. Remove Cup Holder:
- Insert a flat-head screwdriver into the small slot under the cup holder.
- Gently pry open the cup holder and lift it out.
4. Remove Storage Bin:
- Remove the two screws at the back of the storage bin using the Phillips head screwdriver.
- Pull out the storage bin.
5. Unscrew Screws:
- Use the Phillips head screwdriver to remove the two screws located at the front and back of the center console.
- Remove the four screws under the cup holder slot.
- Remove the two screws underneath the climate control unit.
6. Remove Climate Control Unit:
- Gently pull out the climate control unit by grasping it firmly.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors attached to the unit and set it aside.
7. Remove Center Console:
- Insert the flat-head screwdriver or a trim removal tool between the console and the dashboard.
- Gently pry the console's edges to loosen it.
- Continue around the console, working your way upward until it comes free.
- Lift and remove the entire center console.
8. Disconnect Electrical Connectors:
- Disconnect the electrical connectors at the bottom of the console, if any, and set the console aside.
Reassemble:
To reinstall the console, follow these steps in reverse order. Make sure all screws and electrical connectors are properly secured. Reconnect the car battery when finished.
