1. Ensure that the engine is turned off.

3. Connect a scan tool or code reader to the diagnostic connector.
4. Turn on the ignition, but do not start the engine.
5. Using the scan tool or code reader, navigate to the menu or function that allows you to clear or reset the Check Engine Light (CEL).
6. Select the option to clear or reset the CEL.
7. Follow any prompts or instructions on the scan tool or code reader to complete the reset process.
8. Once the reset is complete, turn off the ignition and disconnect the scan tool or code reader.
9. Start the engine to verify that the CEL has been turned off.
