1. Park your car in a safe, well-lit area and turn off the engine. Engage the parking brake.
2. Open the hood of the car.
3. Locate the headlight assembly that contains the bulb you need to replace. It is usually located behind a plastic cover.
4. Remove the cover by pressing on the release tabs and pulling it off.
5. Locate the headlight bulb. It is usually held in place by a metal clip or bayonet-style fitting.
6. Release the clip or bayonet fitting and remove the old bulb.
7. Insert the new bulb into the socket and secure it with the clip or bayonet fitting.
8. Replace the plastic cover and close the hood of the car.
9. Test the new headlight bulb to make sure it is working properly.
