Park your car and turn off the engine. Allow it to cool down if it has been running.
Open the hood of your car.
Locate the four plastic screws that hold the engine cover in place. They are usually located on the corners of the cover.
Use a screwdriver to loosen and remove the four screws.
Once the screws are removed, carefully lift the engine cover up and off of the engine.
Set the engine cover aside in a safe place.
To reinstall the engine cover, simply follow the steps in reverse order.
