- Replacement headlight bulb (H4)
- 5/16-inch socket wrench OR Phillips head screwdriver
- Small flat-blade screwdriver
- Gloves
2. Prepare the vehicle.
- Park the vehicle on a level surface, turn off the engine, and allow it to cool down.
- Engage the parking brake.
- Open the hood.
3. Locate the headlight assembly.
- The headlight assembly is located at the front of the vehicle, behind the headlight lens.
- There is one headlight assembly on each side of the vehicle.
4. Remove the headlight lens.
- Turn the 5/16-inch socket wrench counterclockwise to loosen the two screws that hold the headlight lens in place.
- Remove the screws and then lift the headlight lens off of the headlight assembly.
5. Remove the old headlight bulb.
- Use a Phillips head screwdriver to turn the three counterclockwise to loosen the screws that hold the headlight bulb in place.
- Remove the screws and then pull the headlight bulb straight out of the headlight assembly.
6. Install the new headlight bulb.
- Insert the new headlight bulb into the headlight assembly, making sure that the tabs on the bulb align with the slots in the assembly.
- Turn the screws clockwise to tighten them.
7. Replace the headlight lens.
- Place the headlight lens back onto the headlight assembly and then turn the screws clockwise to tighten them.
8. Close the hood.
- Once you have finished replacing the headlight bulb and the headlight lens, close the hood.
