Here are the steps to follow:
1. Remove the brake fluid reservoir cap. This will allow the brake fluid to flow back into the reservoir as you push the piston in.
2. Locate the brake caliper on the rear of the vehicle. The caliper is the metal housing that contains the brake pads.
3. Use a C-clamp or brake caliper tool to compress the piston back into the caliper. Turn the clamp until the piston is fully retracted.
4. Once the piston is fully retracted, release the pressure on the C-clamp or brake caliper tool.
5. Check the brake fluid level in the reservoir and add more fluid if necessary.
6. Replace the brake fluid reservoir cap.
Now, the piston should be fully retracted and you should be able to easily install new brake pads.
