- Park the vehicle on a level surface.
- Turn off the engine and engage the parking brake.
- Locate the transmission fluid fill plug. It is located on the side of the transmission, near the top.
- Turn the fill plug counter-clockwise to remove it.
- Insert a funnel into the fill hole.
- Pour new transmission fluid into the funnel until it begins to overflow.
- Replace the fill plug and tighten securely.
Note: The transmission fluid level should be checked periodically and topped off as necessary. Do not overfill the transmission, as this can cause foaming and aeration, which can damage the transmission.
