1. Park the car on level ground and apply the parking brake.
2. Locate the fuel tank drain plug. It is a 17mm bolt located on the bottom of the fuel tank, near the rear of the car.
3. Place a large container under the fuel tank drain plug to catch the fuel.
4. Use a 17mm wrench to loosen the fuel tank drain plug.
5. Allow the fuel to drain completely from the tank.
6. Replace the fuel tank drain plug and tighten it securely.
When draining the fuel from the tank, be sure to take precautions to prevent spills and to avoid inhaling fuel vapors.
