- Replacement fuel pump
- Socket wrench set
- Flat-blade screwdriver
- Phillips-head screwdriver
- Fuel line wrench
- Safety glasses

- Flashlight
Instructions:
1. Park the vehicle on a level surface and turn off the engine.
2. Open the trunk and remove the spare tire and the foam insert.
3. Locate the fuel pump access cover on the bottom of the trunk.
4. Use the flat-blade screwdriver to pry open the access cover.
5. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
6. Relieve the fuel system pressure by turning the ignition key to the “On” position for 3 seconds, then turning it off and waiting 30 seconds.
7. Repeat this procedure 3 times.
8. Use the socket wrench to remove the fuel pump retaining ring.
9. Lift the fuel pump out of the tank.
10. Disconnect the fuel lines from the fuel pump.
11. Remove the fuel pump mounting bracket from the tank.
12. Install the new fuel pump mounting bracket in the tank.
13. Connect the fuel lines to the new fuel pump.
14. Lower the fuel pump into the tank and secure it with the fuel pump retaining ring.
15. Reconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
16. Replace the foam insert and the spare tire.
17. Close the trunk.
Note:
- When removing the fuel pump, be careful not to spill any fuel.
- If any fuel does spill, clean it up immediately with a rag.
- Be sure to securely tighten all fuel line connections.
