How do you change oil in a 2007 Mercedes Benz ml350?

Tools

- 17 mm socket

- Oil filter wrench

- Oil drain pan

- New oil filter (check your owner's manual for the correct size)

- New oil (check your owner's manual for the correct type and amount)

Instructions

1. Park your vehicle on a level surface.

2. Turn off the engine and allow it to cool down.

3. Locate the oil drain plug. It is located on the bottom of the oil pan, near the front of the vehicle.

4. Place the oil drain pan under the oil drain plug.

5. Loosen the oil drain plug with the 17 mm socket. Be careful not to drop the oil drain plug into the oil pan.

6. Allow the oil to drain completely into the oil drain pan.

7. Replace the oil drain plug.

8. Locate the oil filter. It is located near the top of the engine, on the passenger side.

9. Remove the oil filter with the oil filter wrench. Be careful not to spill any oil.

10. Apply a thin coat of new oil to the gasket of the new oil filter.

11. Screw on the new oil filter until it is snug. Do not overtighten the oil filter.

12. Add new oil to the engine. Use the funnel to add oil to the oil fill hole. Add the amount of oil specified in your owner's manual.

13. Check the oil level with the dipstick. The oil level should be between the "full" and "add" marks on the dipstick.

14. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes.

15. Check for any leaks. If you see any leaks, tighten the oil drain plug or oil filter until the leak stops.

Tips

- Make sure to recycle your used oil and oil filter.

- If you are not comfortable changing the oil in your vehicle, you can have it done by a certified mechanic.
