How does one lift the bonnet on a Peugeot 407?

Step 1: Locate the bonnet release lever.

There is a small, plastic lever located in the footwell of the driver's side, near the door sill. It is usually marked with the word "bonnet" or a picture of a car with the bonnet open.

Step 2: Pull the bonnet release lever.

Pull the bonnet release lever upwards and hold it in place.

Step 3: Locate the secondary bonnet release lever.

Once the bonnet release lever has been pulled, a secondary bonnet release lever will become visible. This lever is located on the engine bay side of the bonnet, in the center.

Step 4: Pull the secondary bonnet release lever.

Pull the secondary bonnet release lever upwards and release it.

Step 5: Open the bonnet.

Once both levers have been released, you can lift the bonnet of the car. To do this, place your hands on the edges of the bonnet, one on each side, and lift upwards. The bonnet will stay open by itself.

To close the bonnet, simply press down on it until it clicks into place.
