3. Remove the tail light assembly. You may need to use a small flat head screwdriver to pry the assembly loose. Be careful not to damage the paintwork of your car.

4. Unplug the electrical connector from the back of the tail light assembly.

5. Remove the burned-out bulb by turning it counterclockwise.

6. Screw in the new tail light bulb by turning it clockwise until it is seated snugly.

7. Reattach the electrical connector to the back of the tail light assembly.

8. Reinstall the tail light assembly into the trunk of your car.

9. Test the new tail light bulb by turning on the headlights and hazard lights.

Additional tips:

- If the new tail light bulb does not work, check the fuse that controls the tail lights. The fuse box is located in the engine compartment.

- If you have an older model Mercedes Benz 450 SL, you may need to remove the rear seat in order to access the tail light assembly.

Replacing the tail light bulb is a simple DIY task that can be completed in about 15 minutes.
