2. Remove the ignition key and open the hood.
3. Locate the starter motor. The starter motor is located on the left side of the engine, near the bottom. It is a round black or metallic part with electrical wires attached to it.
4. Disconnect the electrical wires from the starter motor. Use a socket wrench to loosen the nuts that hold the electrical wires in place. Be careful not to drop the nuts.
5. Remove the starter motor. Use a socket wrench to loosen the bolts that hold the starter motor in place. Be careful not to drop the bolts.
6. Remove the old starter gasket. The starter gasket is located between the starter motor and the engine block. It is a thin black or metal sheet.
7.Clean the gasket surface on the starter motor and gasket surface on the engine block
8. Install the new starter gasket. Place the new starter gasket between the starter motor and the engine block.
9. Reinstall the starter motor. Use the bolts and nuts that you removed in step 5 to reinstall the starter motor. Be sure to tighten the bolts and nuts securely.
10. Reconnect the electrical wires to the starter motor. Use the nuts that you removed in step 4 to reconnect the electrical wires. Be sure to tighten the nuts securely.
11. Close the hood and start the engine.
