What does it mean if the oil light comes on and is full in a vauxhall frontera?

The oil light should not come on if the level is full. Check under the bonnet that the dipstick shows it at a normal level, there maybe an issue with an oil seal or pressure sender. If unsure take to a garage as running without adequate lubrication/oil pressure will do severe damage very quickly to the engine.
