1. Open the hydraulic fluid filler plug on top of the transmission. It is typically a 1/2-inch hex head.
2. Insert the funnel into the filler hole.
3. Slowly pour hydraulic fluid into the funnel until it begins to run out of the overflow hole.
4. Replace the filler plug.
5. Wipe up any spilled hydraulic fluid.
The hydraulic fluid level is correct when it is visible in the sight glass on the side of the transmission.
Checking the hydraulic fluid level
1. Park the tractor on level ground. Turn the engine off and allow it to cool.
2. Clean the area around the hydraulic fluid sight glass.
3. Look at the sight glass.
>a) If the hydraulic fluid level is low, add hydraulic fluid until it is visible in the sight glass.
>b) If the hydraulic fluid level is too high, remove some hydraulic fluid until the level is correct.
4. Wipe up any spilled hydraulic fluid.
