1. Park the tractor on a level surface and engage the parking brake.
2. Remove the bolts that hold the transmission inspection cover in place.
3. Remove the inspection cover and inspect the transmission gears for damage or wear.
4. If the gears are in good condition, use a pry bar to break the transmission case loose from the rear axle housing.
5. Once the transmission case is loose, remove the bolts that hold it to the rear axle housing.
6. Carefully lift the transmission case off of the rear axle housing.
7. Inspect the transmission input shaft and output shaft for damage or wear.
8. If the shafts are in good condition, reinstall the transmission case and bolts.
9. Reinstall the inspection cover and bolts.
10. Check the transmission fluid level and add more fluid if necessary.
11. Start the tractor and check for leaks.
