How to change headlight in 1994 Mazda 121?

Changing the Headlight on a 1994 Mazda 121:

Tools Needed:

- Philips Head Screwdriver

- Flat Head Screwdriver

- Replacement Headlight Bulb (H4 Type)

Instructions:

1. Open the Hood:

- Locate the hood release lever inside your car, usually near the driver's left footwell. Pull the lever to release the hood.

- Lift the hood and support it using the hood prop rod.

2. Locate Headlight Assembly:

- On each side of the engine bay, you will find the headlight assembly behind the clear plastic cover.

3. Remove the Plastic Cover:

- Use a flathead screwdriver to gently pry open the plastic cover. It is held in place by plastic clips.

4. Disconnect Electrical Connector:

- Locate the electrical connector attached to the back of the headlight bulb.

- Press the release tab and detach the connector.

5. Remove Old Headlight Bulb:

- Twist the old headlight bulb counterclockwise to unlock and remove it from the housing.

6. Install New Headlight Bulb:

- Align the tabs on the new bulb with the slots in the housing.

- Gently twist the bulb clockwise until it locks in place.

7. Reconnect the Electrical Connector:

- Attach the electrical connector to the new headlight bulb.

8. Replace Plastic Cover:

- Snap the plastic cover back into place, making sure all clips are secured.

9. Test the Headlight:

- Turn on your vehicle's headlights and check that the new bulb is working properly.

10. Close the Hood:

- Lower the hood and release the prop rod.

- Double-check that the hood is securely latched.
