Where is the oil pressure sending unit on a 3.4 L Pontiac Grand Am?

The oil pressure sending unit on a 3.4L Pontiac Grand Am is located above the oil dipstick on the front corner of the engine block towards the driver's side in line with the thermostat housing. It will have a single electrical connector on the top facing outward towards the firewall. To access the sending unit from under the hood use 2 long extensions on a 13 mm wrench or ratcheting wrench. Access from under the car may be easier and only requires a deep-well 13 mm socket on an extension
