1. Remove the distributor cap.
2. Locate the timing mark on the crankshaft pulley.
3. Align the timing mark with the pointer on the timing cover.
4. Loosen the distributor hold-down bolt.
5. Turn the distributor until the rotor points at the #1 spark plug wire terminal.
6. Tighten the distributor hold-down bolt.
7. Replace the distributor cap.
