What is RTD temperature pobe stand ford?

RTD temperature probe (Pt100) stand for Platinum 100 Ohms. It is a sensor used to measure temperatures. The resistance of RTD sensor increases with an increase in temeprature and decreases with the decrease in teperature.

The basic principle of working of RTD probe is that they work by exploiting the change in the electrical resistance of a metal with temperaure, in this case its made up of pure Pladinum and with precisely 100 ohms as its base or nominal resistance when its at 0°C.
