Where is the cylinder block located?

The cylinder block is located at the bottom of the engine, below the cylinder head. It is the main structural component of the engine, and houses the cylinders, which are the chambers in which the pistons move up and down. The cylinder block also contains the water jackets, which are passages through which coolant flows to keep the engine cool.
