1. Open the hood of your Jeep TJ.
2. Locate the engine block, which is the large metal block in the center of the engine compartment.
3. Look for a row of spark plug wires that are connected to the engine block.
4. The cylinder numbers will be stamped on the engine block, near where the spark plug wires are connected. They may be small and hard to see, but they should be there. The cylinder numbers will be numbered from front to back, from 1 to 6.
5. Cylinder 1 is located closest to the front of the engine, and cylinder 6 is located closest to the rear of the engine.
