1. Ensure that the lawnmower is parked on a flat, level surface and the engine is turned off.
2. Locate the oil drain plug on the bottom of the mower deck. It is usually a 1/2-inch bolt near the bottom center of the engine.
3. Place an oil drain pan underneath the oil drain plug.
4. Use a wrench to loosen the oil drain plug and allow the oil to drain into the pan.
5. Replace the oil drain plug and tighten it securely.
6. Refill the mower with the recommended amount and type of oil (usually SAE 30).
7. Check the oil level by using the dipstick. The oil level should be between the "FULL" and "ADD" marks on the dipstick.
8. Start the lawnmower and let it run for a few minutes to circulate the oil.
9. Check the oil level again and add more oil if necessary.
