Can anyone tell me the torque sequence for head of a 1990 Jeep 2.5L 4 cylinder?

Cylinder head bolt tightening sequence for a 1990 Jeep 2.5L 4-cylinder engine:

Step 1: Cleaning

- Clean all the cylinder head and bolt threads with brake cleaner to ensure they're free from dirt and other contaminants.

Step 2: Bolt Sequence

1. Start with the middle bolts:

- Tighten the two inner head bolts (located in the center of the head) to 20 ft-lbs (27 N·m).

2. Work towards the outside:

- Tighten the head bolts in the following order, moving outward from the center, alternating between the left and right sides:

- Tighten the first outer bolts to 20 ft-lbs (27 N·m).

- Tighten the next outer bolts to 20 ft-lbs (27 N·m).

Step 3: Final Tightening

- Retighten all the bolts to 55 ft-lbs (74 N·m).

Note:

- Be sure to follow this sequence carefully to ensure even clamping force and prevent damage to the cylinder head.
