1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the air cleaner housing.
3. Locate the starter motor on the passenger side of the engine, near the bottom.
4. Remove the two bolts that hold the starter motor in place.
5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the starter motor.
6. Remove the starter motor from the vehicle.
Installation is the reverse of removal.
Tips
* Be sure to disconnect the negative battery cable before starting any work on the starter motor. This will help to prevent accidental electrical shock.
* If you are having difficulty removing the starter motor, you may need to use a pry bar to break it loose.
* Be careful not to drop the starter motor. It is a heavy object and could cause damage if it falls on your foot.
