What parts are needed to install an idler pulley on a 1987 Wrangler with 6 cylinder engine in place of the Air Conditioning?

Parts Needed

* Chrysler/Dodge Water Pump Pulley

* Ford 302 Power Steering Pulley

* 1.5” V-Ribbed Belt (Part No: 15061020 or equivalent)

* 2x ½”-13 x 1” Hex Head bolts with flat washer

* 1x ½”-13 x 1-3/4” Hex Head bolt with flat washer

* 2x ½”-13 Nylock Nuts

* Idler Pulley Bracket

Tools Needed

* Wrenches

* Sockets

* Ratchets

Instructions

1. Remove the A/C compressor.

2. Remove the power steering pump and brackets.

3. Remove the water pump pulley from the water pump.

4. Install the idler pulley bracket in place of the A/C compressor.

5. Install the water pump pulley onto the water pump.

6. Install the Ford 302 power steering pulley in place of the original power steering pulley.

7. Install the idler pulley onto the bracket.

8. Install the belt around the water pump pulley, the idler pulley, and the power steering pulley.

9. Tension the belt and secure it with the nylock nuts.
