1. Park your car on a level surface and turn off the engine. Allow the engine to cool down.
2. Open the hood of your car.
3. Locate the fuel line that runs from the fuel tank to the engine.
4. Follow the fuel line until you find the fuel filter.
- The fuel filter is a cylindrical-shaped object located in-line with the fuel line.
- It may have "Fuel Filter" written on it.
5. The fuel filter is located under the car, near the rear axle, on the driver's side.
Note:
- Be careful not to touch any hot parts of the engine.
- If you are not comfortable working with car parts, you can take your vehicle to a mechanic or automotive service center to have the fuel filter replaced.
