1. Park your car in a safe location, and turn off the engine. Engage the parking brake.
2. Open the trunk.
3. Locate the brake light assembly. It is typically located on the rear of the vehicle, on either side of the license plate.
4. Remove the old bulb. You can usually rotate the socket, or push down and twist the bulb to release the old bulb.
5. Insert the new bulb. Just insert the new bulb into the socket and turn to lock in place or push in place.
6. Test the new bulb. Turn on the headlights and brake pedal to make sure the new bulb is working.
7. Repeat steps 4-6 if there are multiple brake lights.
