1. Park your truck in a safe location and turn off the engine. Engage the parking brake and chock the wheels.
2. Locate the gas tank. The gas tank is located under the rear of the truck, behind the axle.
3. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery. This will prevent any sparks from igniting the fuel vapors.
4. Loosen the fuel line connections. There are two fuel lines connected to the gas tank, one for the supply and one for the return. Use a wrench to loosen the nuts on the fuel line connections.
5. Remove the fuel tank straps. The fuel tank is held in place by two straps. Use a wrench to loosen the nuts on the straps and then remove the straps.
6. Lower the fuel tank. Once the straps are removed, you can lower the gas tank. Be careful not to damage the fuel lines or any other components.
7. Install the new gas tank. Follow the reverse of the removal procedure to install the new gas tank.
8. Tighten all of the nuts and bolts. Make sure that all of the nuts and bolts are tightened securely.
9. Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
10. Start the engine and check for leaks. Run the truck for a few minutes and check for any leaks. If you see any leaks, tighten the nuts and bolts until the leaks stop.
