Where is the oil located in a 1999 Z3 BMW?

Location: Under the hood, on the driver's side of the engine.

Tools Needed:

- Wrench

- Oil drain pan

- New oil filter

- Funnel

- New oil

Instructions:

1. Park your car on a level surface and turn off the engine.

2. Engage the parking brake and allow the engine to cool down.

3. Open the hood of your car.

4. Locate the oil drain plug on the bottom of the oil pan. It is typically a 17mm bolt.

5. Place the oil drain pan under the oil drain plug.

6. Use the wrench to loosen and remove the oil drain plug.

7. Allow the old oil to drain into the oil drain pan.

8. Once the old oil has drained, replace the oil drain plug.

9. Locate the oil filter on the side of the engine block. It is typically a cylindrical-shaped object with a black cap.

10. Use the wrench to loosen and remove the oil filter.

11. Apply a thin coat of new oil to the gasket of the new oil filter.

12. Screw the new oil filter onto the engine block until it is snug.

13. Use the funnel to add new oil to the engine. The oil fill cap is typically located on the top of the engine block.

14. Add the amount of oil specified in your owner's manual.

15. Check the oil level using the oil dipstick. The oil level should be between the "full" and "add" marks on the dipstick.

16. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes.

17. Turn off the engine and check for any leaks.
