1. Raise and safely support your vehicle.
* Use a floor jack and jack stands or ramps.
2. Remove the serpentine belt.
* You may want to refer to your vehicle repair manual for specific instructions on how to do this.
3. Remove the front engine mount through-bolt.
* This bolt is located on top of the front engine mount.
* Use a wrench to loosen and remove it.
4. Remove the front engine mount.
* Use a pry bar to pry the mount off the engine block.
* Be careful not to damage any of the surrounding components.
Installing the Serpentine Belt
1. Position the new belt around the pulleys.
* Make sure the belt is routed correctly.
* Refer to your vehicle repair manual for specific instructions.
2. Adjust the tensioner.
* Use an Allen wrench to turn the tensioner bolt until the belt is properly tensioned.
3. Reinstall the front engine mount.
* Secure the mount using the through-bolt you removed earlier.
* Tighten the bolt until it is snug.
4. Reinstall the serpentine belt.
* Follow the instructions in your vehicle repair manual for proper belt installation.
5. Lower your vehicle.
