The PCV valve (positive crankcase ventilation valve) is located on the passenger side of the engine, near the back of the valve cover. It is a small, black plastic valve with two hoses connected to it. One hose connects to the intake manifold, and the other hose connects to the crankcase.
Removal and Replacement:
To remove the PCV valve, simply disconnect the two hoses and then pull the valve straight out of the valve cover. Be careful not to drop the valve into the engine.
To install the new PCV valve, simply insert it into the valve cover and then reconnect the two hoses. That's it! You have now successfully replaced the PCV valve on your Ford F-150 4.6L V8 engine.
