2. Using a 5/16-inch socket wrench, loosen the fuel tank vent hose clamp on the neck of the fuel tank.
3. Disconnect the fuel filler hose from the fuel tank by pushing in on the locking tabs and pulling up on the hose.
4. Using a 10-inch socket wrench, remove the four bolts that hold the fuel tank sending unit in place.
5. Carefully lift the fuel tank sending unit out of the tank, taking care not to spill any fuel.
6. To remove the fuel pump, use a 5/16-inch socket wrench to remove the two nuts that hold the fuel pump in place.
7. Disconnect the fuel pump connector by pressing on the locking tab and pulling up on the connector.
8. Lift the fuel pump out of the fuel tank.
9. To install the new fuel pump, reverse the above steps.
10. When reinstalling the fuel tank, make sure to reconnect the fuel filler hose and the fuel tank vent hose.
11. Tighten the fuel tank sending unit bolts and the fuel pump nuts to the specified torque.
