1. Park your truck on a level surface and turn off the engine. Allow the engine to cool down completely.
2. Open the hood and locate the fuel filter housing. It is located on the driver's side of the engine compartment, near the firewall.
3. The fuel filter housing is a cylindrical-shaped plastic container with a black cap. There is a 7mm bolt on the bottom of the housing. You can use a 7mm wrench to loosen this bolt.
4. Once the bolt is removed, carefully pry the cap off the housing using a flat-head screwdriver.
5. Remove the old fuel filter from the housing. It is a cylindrical-shaped object with a black plastic cap on one end.
6. Insert the new fuel filter into the housing, making sure that the cap is facing up.
7. Place the cap back on the housing and screw the 7mm bolt back into place until snug.
8. Start the engine and check for leaks. If you see any leaks, tighten the 7mm bolt until the leak stops.
