1. Open the hood of your vehicle.
2. Locate the air cleaner assembly. It is a large, rectangular housing located on the top of the engine.
3. Use a screwdriver or a socket wrench to remove the bolts holding the air cleaner lid in place.
4. Lift off the air cleaner lid and set it aside.
5. Look at the throttle body. It is a cylindrical component located on the front of the engine, just below the air cleaner assembly.
6. The TPS is attached to the throttle body with two bolts. It is typically located on the passenger side of the throttle body.
7. The TPS is a small, black sensor with three wires attached to it.
The TPS can be removed and replaced by following these steps:
1. Disconnect the three wires from the TPS.
2. Use a socket wrench or a box wrench to remove the two bolts holding the TPS in place.
3. Lift the TPS off the throttle body and set it aside.
4. Install the new TPS in the reverse order of removal.
5. Be sure to reconnect the three wires to the TPS.
6. Replace the air cleaner lid and secure it with the bolts you removed earlier.
7. Close the hood of your vehicle.
