1. Locate the starter. It is usually located on the bottom of the engine, near the transmission.
2. Disconnect the battery. This will prevent any electrical shocks while you are working.
3. Remove the starter cover. This is usually held in place by a few bolts.
4. Locate the starter bolts. There are usually two or three bolts that hold the starter in place.
5. Loosen the starter bolts. Use the wrench to loosen the bolts, but do not remove them completely.
6. Use the ratchet and extension bar to remove the starter bolts. Be careful not to drop the bolts.
7. Remove the starter. Once the bolts are removed, you can lift the starter out of the engine.
8. Reinstall the starter. Place the starter back into the engine and align the bolt holes.
9. Insert the starter bolts. Start the bolts by hand, then use the ratchet and extension bar to tighten them.
10. Reconnect the battery.
11. Replace the starter cover.
