2. Locate the oil drain plug. It is usually located on the bottom of the oil pan, near the front of the vehicle. The drain plug is typically a 17mm bolt.
3. Place an oil pan under the oil drain plug to catch the draining oil.
4. Use the correct size wrench to loosen the oil drain plug. Be careful not to drop the bolt into the oil pan.
5. Allow the oil to drain completely into the oil pan.
6. Replace the oil drain plug and tighten it securely.
7. Dispose of the used oil properly.
