Oil sump plug on ford van diesel 1.8?

The oil sump plug on a Ford van diesel 1.8 is located on the bottom of the oil pan. It is typically a 17mm bolt, and can be removed with a wrench. To remove the oil sump plug, place a drain pan under the oil pan, then use the wrench to loosen and remove the bolt. Be careful not to drop the bolt into the drain pan. Once the bolt is removed, the oil will begin to drain from the oil pan. Allow all of the oil to drain, then reinstall the bolt and tighten it securely.
