1. Open the hood of your Avalanche.
2. Locate the throttle body. It is a round, metal component located on the engine block, near the front of the vehicle.
3. Look for the throttle position sensor. It is a small, black sensor that is attached to the throttle body with two screws.
4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the throttle position sensor.
5. Remove the two screws that hold the throttle position sensor in place.
6. Remove the throttle position sensor from the throttle body.
7. Repeat steps 1-6 to install the new throttle position sensor.
8. Tighten the screws that hold the throttle position sensor in place.
9. Connect the electrical connector to the throttle position sensor.
10. Close the hood of your Avalanche.
