Engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor

Removal

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove decorative cover from below the dash panel on driver's side. Disconnect the multi-plug connection from the sensor.

3. Remove the cover from the oil cooler heat exchanger.

4. Remove the coolant temperature sensor from the oil cooler.

Installation

1. Screw in the new sensor and connect it to the multi-plug connection.

2. Refit the oil cooler heat exchanger cover.

3. Reinstall the decorative cover.
