How do you adjust the idle speed on a suzuki esteem?

To adjust the idle speed on a Suzuki Esteem, you will need the following tools:

* A flat-head screwdriver

* A Phillips-head screwdriver

* A tachometer

Instructions:

1. Start the engine and let it warm up to operating temperature.

2. Turn off the engine and disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.

3. Remove the air intake hose from the throttle body.

4. Remove the air filter from the air filter housing.

5. Locate the idle air control valve (IACV) on the throttle body. The IACV is a black cylinder with a small solenoid attached to it.

6. Loosen the two screws that secure the IACV to the throttle body.

7. Turn the IACV counterclockwise to increase the idle speed and clockwise to decrease the idle speed.

8. Tighten the two screws that secure the IACV to the throttle body.

9. Reconnect the air filter housing to the throttle body.

10. Reconnect the negative terminal of the battery.

11. Start the engine and let it idle for a few minutes.

12. Check the idle speed with a tachometer. The ideal idle speed for a Suzuki Esteem is 750 RPM.

13. If the idle speed is not correct, repeat steps 6-10 until the desired idle speed is achieved.
