3. Turn on the ignition, but do not start the engine.
4. Follow the instructions on the code reader to read and clear the check engine light code.
5. Start the engine and check if the check engine light is off.
Option 3: Have a Technician Reset the Light
If you are unable to reset the check engine light yourself, you can have a qualified technician do it for you. They will have the necessary tools and knowledge to diagnose the problem and reset the light.
