How to Check 2008 4.7 Toyota Tundra transmission fluid?

To check the transmission fluid in a 2008 4.7 Toyota Tundra, follow these steps:

1. Park the vehicle on a level surface.

2. Turn off the engine and allow it to cool down.

3. Open the hood of the vehicle.

4. Locate the transmission fluid dipstick. It is usually located on the driver's side of the engine compartment, near the back.

5. Pull the dipstick out of the transmission and wipe it clean with a rag.

6. Reinsert the dipstick into the transmission until it is fully seated.

7. Pull the dipstick out again and check the fluid level. The fluid should be between the "FULL" and "ADD" marks on the dipstick.

8. If the fluid level is low, add enough fluid to bring it up to the "FULL" mark. Use only Toyota Genuine ATF WS transmission fluid.

9. Reinsert the dipstick and close the hood of the vehicle.

Note: If the transmission fluid is dark brown or black in color or smells burnt, it may need to be changed. You should have your transmission fluid changed by a qualified mechanic if it is dirty or burnt.
