- Disconnect the battery.
- Remove the fuel pump access plate.
- Remove the fuel pump mounting bolts.
- Disconnect the fuel lines from the fuel pump.
- Remove the fuel pump from the tank.
- NOTE: The fuel pump assembly is a module that includes the pump, fuel filter, and fuel pressure regulator.
- Remove the fuel filter and fuel pressure regulator from the fuel pump.
- Install the new fuel filter and fuel pressure regulator on the fuel pump.
- Install the fuel pump module in the reverse order of removal
- Turn the key to the ON position (do not start the engine) to pressurize the fuel lines.
- Check for leaks.
- Start the engine.
