1. Lift the hood of the vehicle and support it with a rod.
2.Locate the air cleaner box on the top the engine. It is a black box with a long tube attached to it.
3. Loosen the two clamps that secure the air cleaner box to the tube. Use a 10mm wrench to loosen the clamps.
4. Remove the air cleaner box.
5.Remove the old air filter from the air cleaner box. It is a rectangular foam filter.
6. Inspect the air filter for dirt and debris. If the air filter is dirty or damaged, replace it with a new one.
7. Insert the new air filter into the air cleaner box.
8.Reattach the air cleaner box to the tube and tighten the two clamps.
9.Close the hood of the vehicle.
*2011 - 2022 Honda Odyssey V6-3.5L*
1. Open the hood of the vehicle.
2. Locate the air cleaner box on the top of the engine. On the driver’s side, there will be a black plastic cover secured by 4 screws. Use the 10 mm wrench to loosen these screws.
3. Locate the air cleaner housing cap (this is under the black plastic cover) and turn the 2 tabs 1/4 turn until the cap comes loose. Lift off the cap.
4. Remove the old air filter. Be sure to check for debris under it and remove this debris as well.
5. Put the new air filter in the housing with the arrows pointing down and the top of the filter against the opening.
6. Replace the air cleaner housing cap and rotate the 2 tabs back into place. Lock the tabs to secure the cap.
7. Replace the black plastic cover and then close the hood of the vehicle.
