- A flat head screwdriver
- A Phillips head screwdriver
- A pair of pliers
- A fuel line disconnect tool
- A siphon hose
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. This will prevent any electrical shock from happening while you are working on the fuel pump.
2. Locate the fuel pump access panel. It is located under the rear seat of the car.
3. Remove the fuel pump access panel. There will be two screws holding the panel in place. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the screws.
4. Remove the fuel pump mounting bracket. There will be two bolts holding the bracket in place. Use a 10mm wrench to remove the bolts.
5. Disconnect the fuel lines. There will be two fuel lines connected to the fuel pump. Use a fuel line disconnect tool to remove the fuel lines.
6. Disconnect the electrical connector. There will be an electrical connector connected to the fuel pump. Use a flat head screwdriver to pry the connector loose.
7. Remove the fuel pump. Lift the fuel pump out of the fuel tank.
8. Install the new fuel pump. Reverse the steps that you took to remove the old fuel pump.
9. Connect the battery. Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
