- New Idle Air Control Valve (IACV)
Instructions
1.Locate the Idle Air Control Valve (IACV). The IACV is located on the passenger side of the throttle body. It is a small, black cylindrical device with a vacuum line connected to it.
2.Disconnect IACV vacuum line.
3.Disengage the electrical connection to the IACV.
4.Remove the two 10 mm bolts holding the IACV to the throttle body.
5.Gently pull the IACV out of the throttle body. Be careful not to drop the gasket that is located between the IACV and the throttle body.
6.Install a new gasket between the IACV and the throttle body.
7.Replace the IACV into the throttle body and replace the two 10 mm bolts.
8.Reattach vacuum hose to IACV
9.Reattach the electrical connection to the IACV.
10. Start the engine and let it idle. The IACV will adjust the idle speed to the correct level.
